Teksty opublikowane w 39 tomie „Łambinowickiego Rocznika Muzealnego” zostały poświęcone szeroko pojętej problematyce niewoli w latach II wojny światowej. Pierwsze dwa dotyczą funkcjonowania obozów jenieckich na terenie Związku Radzieckiego – Juchnowa i Griazowca. Znaleźć tu także można artkuły o niemieckich obozach jenieckich w okupowanym Krakowie, czy analizę planów wcielenia polskich jeńców wojennych do Polskich Sił Zbrojnych. Interesujące jest opracowanie o postawie gen. broni Leona Berbeckiego w niewoli i reakcji na nią innych generałów. Do działu „Archiwum” trafił nieznany plan obozu dla radzieckich lotników – Stalagu Luft 2 Litzmannstadt wraz z jego omówieniem oraz opis pomocy jeńcom świadczonej przez tzw. mateczki wojenne na przykładzie korespondencji Haliny Burówny. W roczniku opublikowano też wspomnienia z niewoli. Pierwsze płk. dypl. Kazimierza Janickiego z częstochowskiej 7. Dywizji Piechoty, a drugie dotyczące tragicznych losów kpt. Edmunda Mamunowa, które zostały filmowo przetworzone w Eroice Andrzeja Munka. Do stałych części rocznika trafiły recenzje najnowszych wydawnictw, sprawozdania z konferencji oraz inne teksty informujące o działalności Muzeum.

The papers published in Volume 39 of The Annual were dedicated to the broadly-understood problem area of captivity in the years of World War II. The first two of them concern the functioning of POW camps on the territory of the Soviet Union – Yukhnov and Gryazovets. The reader will find here also papers on German POW camps in the occupied Krakow or an analysis of the plans to incorporate Polish POWs into the Polish Military Forces. The paper devoted to Lieutenant General Leon Berbecki, his stay in captivity and the reaction on the part of other detained generals is most interesting. The section “Archive” contains the so far unknown plan of the camp designed for Soviet airmen – Stalag Luft 2 Litzmannstadt, together with a relevant discussion and a description of the aid provided to the POWs by the so-called wartime mothers, using the example of the correspondence of Halina Burówna. The Annual features memories of the captivity, too: the first being memoirs of Colonel Kazimierz Janicki of the Częstochowa 7^th  Infantry Division and the other is connected with the tragic fate of Captain Edmund Mamunow, which was made use of in the film Eroica directed by Andrzej Munk. The regular sections of The Annual include reviews of the latest publications, reports on conferences and other texts giving information on the Museum’s current activity.
